The International Federation of Social Workers (July 2014) defines social work as "A practice-based profession and an academic discipline that promotes social change and development, social cohesion, and the empowerment and liberation of people. Principles of social justice, human rights, collective responsibility and respect for diversities are central to social work. Underpinned by theories of social work, social sciences, humanities and indigenous knowledge, social work engages people and structures to address life challenges and enhance wellbeing."
I believe coaching creates possibility and transformation. It unlocks the power already within you to create change and elevate well-being—for yourself, your organization, and your community.
You're already leading through how you live your life. Coaching doesn't create your potential; it reveals it and helps you use it with intention and impact.
Lead yourself first. When you do, you transform everything around you.
I support the Grand Challenge for Social Work to Advance Long and Productive Lives and developing better leaders to advance social and organizational well-being facilitates that aim.
